Before the installation begins, areas to be insulated are prepared. This may involve sealing any air leaks to ensure the insulation will perform optimally.

Material Selection

Blowing Equipment

The selected insulation material is loaded into a specialized machine. This machine uses air to break up the material and then forcefully blows it through a hose.


Technicians direct the hose to the areas that need insulation. The blown-in material expands to fill the space, covering every gap or awkward space . This process ensures an even distribution and a tight fit around obstacles like pipes and wiring, which can be difficult to achieve with batt insulation.

Density and Coverage

The density of the blown-in insulation can be controlled during application, allowing for customized thermal resistance (R-value) levels. Higher density applications can provide better soundproofing and energy efficiency.
